Dear Sir/Madam/Miss, we would like to invite you to attend the 14th Nordic Meeting on Intermediate and High Energy Nuclear Physics Graftavallen, Oviken, Sweden, January 5-10, 2002. A first circular with preliminary information is included below. We would appreciate if you could bring this to the attention of other prospective participants as well, in particular graduate students and postdocs which are mostly missing from our address list. Yours sincerely, Johan Bijnens, Lund, bijnens@thep.lu.se Jakob Bondorf, NBI, Copenhagen bondorf@nbi.dk Ari Jokinen, Jyväskylä, ari.s.jokinen@phys.jyu.fi Trine Tveter, Oslo, Trine.Tveter@fys.uio.no PS We left the whle adresses visible so you have the option of checking whom we included in the mailing list. The form of the meeting will follow the tradition from prevoius meetings with review talks by invited speakers and shorter contributions from participants presenting new results. Students are especially encouraged to contribute. We also plan "tutorial sessions" for smaller groups of students together with the invited speakers. The meeting will cover a wide area inside nuclear and hadronic physics, with the subjects roughly classified into three areas: hadron physics, heavy ion physics and the physics of exotic nuclei. A preliminary list of invited speakers includes Hadron Physics: M. Birse, Manchester M. Polyakov, Bochum D. Diakonov, Nordita, Copenhagen C. Wilkin, London Heavy Ion Physics: L. McLerran, BNL B.
