Van Mechelen Abstract: The evolution with rapidity of transverse momentum ($p_T$-) transfer is studied on parton level and on hadron level. It is shown that the fluctuations in $p_T$-transfer and the correlations between $p_T$-transfers at different points in rapidity exhibit sensitivity to the characteristics of the parton shower model in use. A measure for the correlation length is introduced which may thus help to discriminate between DGLAP and BFKL-like parton evolution.
