In 2012 the LHC reached unprecedented values of instantaneous luminosity. Although a high luminosity is crucial for the study of rare physics processes, it leads to an increase of soft inelastic interactions, making the jet reconstruction particularly challenging. The talk describes the effect of pile-up on the jet reconstruction and presents a way to correct the pile-up effects on jets, as well as to identify and suppress jets from pile-up interactions.
