Sandipan Mohanty
My whereabouts
Currently I work in the Simulation Laboratory Biology at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre, Forschungszentrum Jülich, Jülich, Germany. Before moving to Germany in 2005, I worked in this department, first as a Ph.D. student in high energy physics (1999-2003), and then as a postdoc in computational bio-physics (2003-2005).What I am up to
- ProFASi: the Protein Folding and Aggregation Simulator: Version 1.5 is in testing. It includes, among other things, the latest version of our interaction potential. For an overview of some interesting simulations done with ProFASi, please visit the ProFASi gallery. The pictures at the top of this page are from some of my simulations with ProFASi.
- Monte Carlo techniques for massively parallel computers.
- Simulations of protein folding and aggregation.
I collaborate with several members of the computational biology and biological physics division. My updated publications list can be found here.
